REFEREE ASSIGNOR/ MENTOR
Our referee assignor for CSC is David Griffin. David has been involved in soccer since being introduced to it as a player in high school when he moved to Maine and then at the collegiate intramural level. He coached his kids and grandkids in Cheyenne for many years, then started refereeing in 2010. He has been a referee for the recreational, competitive, and adult leagues, as well as high school games in Cheyenne, and looks forward to passing those skills on to younger referees. If you are interested in refereeing, please contact David at 307.630.8498 or grippedbyhim@live.com.
In the spirit of the CSC mission "To Build Character Skill Community", it is David’s desire to mentor younger referees to develop their character both on and off the pitch, develop their skills to be the best referees in the region, and to provide a referee corps sufficient to support the entire soccer community in Cheyenne.

Payment
All leagues will pay two to three times during each season. At the end of the season, all remaining balances will be paid. You must fill out payment information for GoPay through GameOfficials.net in order to get paid. For more information about GoPay, please contact David.
GameOfficials.net
GameOfficials.net
is the web-based assignment system used by CSC. This is how referees maintain
their contact information, provide availability on their personal calendar,
receive game assignments, report game scores and penalties, receive payment,
and stay informed through email or text communications. Referees only need 1
GameOfficials.net account for any and all leagues they work for who utilize
GameOfficials.
USSF Status
Prior
to being assigned any Competitive League games, referees need to be certified
for the current year through USSF. Although certification is not required for
other leagues, it is preferred; and certified referees will be assigned first
before using any non-certified referees. Referees who have taken and passed a
pre-season class are already certified. If you are not sure of your status,
contact David.
Game Assignments
All
games (all leagues) will be assigned electronically, normally 3-4 days prior to
the game. Referees need to show their availability as early as possible through
GameOfficials.net to obtain the best assignments possible. The Assignor will
assign all referees to games based on their certification, availability,
experience, and ability.
Work Etiquette
Referees
are expected to arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of each game
to facilitate any last minute changes to game assignments, if needed. Upon
arrival, you should check in with the Game Day Mentor (usually David) for any
possible assignment adjustments and opportunities to referee more games due to
last minute changes.
Online Training Videos
U.S. Soccer is committed to producing referee educational resources aimed at supporting the nearly 140,000 officials across the country regularly working amateur games at the youth and adult levels. While these online training resources are specific to referee instruction, the content can also be accessed by players, coaches and spectators who simply want to learn more about the Laws of the Game and refereeing.
