Programs: Rec Plus
New players for Spring 2009 please contact Cheyenne Soccer Club prior to registering to determine if space is available on a team roster.
REC+ is a Cheyenne Soccer Club sponsored developmental soccer program that plays games within the Wyoming State Soccer Association (WSSA) League. The REC+ program has been set up to provide opportunities beyond the Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational program including further development of individual and team skills. This is a competitive soccer program and our teams play against competitive teams from the other Wyoming cities. Please take into consideration your player's ability and soccer experience when registering him/her for this program. Playing time may vary by ability and other intangibles like
practice attendance, and is at the discretion of the coach. REC+ players are required to register for Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational soccer in addition to the REC+ program. Participants are required to travel for games, and to regularly attend practices (1 to 2 a week) in addition to Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational team practices.
Eligibility and Priority
Fall Season: All players signing up for REC+ play during the official registration period and meet the age cutoff for that division (e.g., U9/U10 player for U9/U10 team) will be placed on a team roster of the player's age and gender on a first come, first serve, space available basis. All players that register after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list and appointed to a team on a first come, first serve, space available basis. Cheyenne Soccer Club will record the date and time when registration form and payment are received (post-mark date if mailed). Since there are no REC+ teams for U8 players, they are eligible to participate (play up) on the U9/U10 REC+ team. However, any U9/U10 player that signed up prior to the registration deadline will be given priority over a U8 player. A coed team may be formed if there are not enough players registered by the registration deadline to form a separate boys or girls team in that division.
Spring Season: All REC+ players that participated the previous fall REC+ season and also register and pay fees prior to the spring season deadline will be given first priority to be on a team. All other players signing up for REC+ play during the official registration period and meet the age cutoff for that division (e.g., U9/U10 player for U9/U10 team) will be placed on a team on a first come, first serve, space available basis. New player registrations will not be accepted prior to the official spring registration period. All players registering after the close of registration will be placed on a waiting list and appointed to the first team with an available position. Since there are no REC+ teams for U8 participants, they are eligible to participate (play up) on the U9/U10 REC+ team. However, any U9/U10 player that signed up prior to the registration deadline will be given priority over new U8 players. A coed team may be formed if there are not enough players registered by the registration deadline to form a separate boys or girls team in that division.
MULTIPLE TEAMS WITHIN A DIVISION: The number of teams in a particular division (e.g., U10girls) will be determined based on availability of coaches and the number of players that registered and paid by the registration deadline. This may include coed teams if there are not sufficient numbers for individual girls and boys divisions. Multiple teams may be formed within a division if enough coaches have been confirmed and if enough participants have registered to allow for at least 3 substitutes per team, unless approved otherwise by the Cheyenne Soccer Club board. For example, for 6 v 6 at the U10 level, if at least 18 players have registered, two teams of 9 will be formed. The split of the teams will be determined by the coaches. If agreement among coaches does not occur, a committee of three will be formed (Cheyenne Soccer Club President, REC+ Coordinator, one additional board member) to finalize team rosters.
PRACTICE: Will be at the discretion of the coach and not to conflict with Cheyenne Soccer Club. Participants are required to regularly attend Cheyenne Soccer Club and REC+ practices.
