Changes to REC+ Program - 2010/2011 Season
REC+ Under-9 Boys and Girls
The REC+ program (U9) {birthdates from 8/1/01 - 7/31/02} has been set up to provide opportunities beyond the Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational program including further development of individual and team skills. This is a skill development program for players interested in playing for Cheyenne’s competitive program in the future. The REC+ program will consist of weekly soccer academy sessions (for skill development with competitive coaches) and possible friendly games and scrimmages between other teams in Wyoming and Northern Colorado.
REC+ players are required to register for Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational soccer in addition to the REC+ program and the registration fee for this program is $20.00 per season. Participants will be expected to attend regular academy sessions (once a week) in addition to their Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational team practices; academy session and recreational practice times will not conflict.
Stingers Under-10 Boys and Girls
The Cheyenne Stingers program (U10) {birthdates from 8/1/00 - 7/31/01} is a competitive soccer program where participants will travel to Fort Collins, Colorado weekly for games. Stingers players are required to attend regular practices, once to 3 times per week (Liam Sinclair will conduct at least one weekly practice), and attend scheduled competitive games on Saturday afternoons. A recent change in the U10 program allows participants the choice to play in both the Cheyenne Soccer Club Recreational program and the Fort Collins league or the Fort Collins league only.
Please take into consideration your player's ability and soccer experience when registering him/her for the Cheyenne Stingers program. Playing time may vary by ability and other intangibles like practice attendance, and is at the discretion of the coach. Practice and game times will not conflict with the recreational program for those interested in participating in both. Registrations will be handled on a first come/first serve basis and a waiting list may be available. The registration fee for this competitive program is $60.00 per season and players will need to purchase their own uniforms.
