Cheyenne Soccer Club Academy
The Cheyenne Soccer Club Academy has been set up to provide opportunities in addition to the Cheyenne Soccer Club recreational program including further development of individual and team skills. This is a skill development program for players. The Youth Academy will consist of weekly soccer sessions for CSC's recreation players and teams.
All recreation players are invited to the Academy sessions. Teams may come but must be assisted by their coach. The Academy Director will institute the Club’s curriculum by demonstrating the proper technique and practice. The players will then be spread out into groups to perform the drill. The Director will observe and correct the groups as needed.
The CSC Youth Academy will be run one night per week with two, one hour, sessions. The Director will be supported by the recreation team coaches and volunteer Sting coaches.
Cost to attend the Academy is FREE and may supplement attendance to your player’s regular team training. The Youth Academy is for all players in the U9/U10 age category.
Stingers Under-10 Boys and Girls
The Cheyenne Stingers program (U10) {birthdates from 8/1/01 - 7/31/02} is a soccer program where participants will travel to Fort Collins, Colorado weekly for games. Stingers players are required to attend regular practices, once to 3 times per week (the Youth Academy Directory will conduct at least one weekly practice), and attend scheduled games on Saturday afternoons. Participants may also choose to play in the CSC Recreation League in conjunction with joining the Rec Plus Stingers team.
Please take into consideration your player's ability and soccer experience when registering him/her for the Cheyenne Stingers program. Playing time may vary by ability and other intangibles like practice attendance, and is at the discretion of the Youth Academy Director. Practice and game times will not conflict with the recreational program for those interested in participating in both. Registrations will be handled on a first come/first serve basis and a waiting list may be available. The registration fee for this competitive program is $60.00 per season and players will need to purchase their own uniforms.
