The Cheyenne Soccer Club is a volunteer organization designed to promote youth soccer in Cheyenne and the nearby areas. In doing so, the Cheyenne Soccer Club attempts to help develop the youth of Cheyenne into valuable citizens by promoting teamwork, discipline and a positive attitude. The Cheyenne Soccer Club also attempts to educate adults and parents about the aspects of soccer through coaching, refereeing and learning the sport.

Indoor Soccer Opportunities at LCCC this Winter
LCCC soccer coaches and players will be hosting a Winter Soccer Academy (camp), an Indoor Soccer League, and an Indoor Soccer Tournament this winter.
The Winter Soccer Academy is open to kids ages 7 – 14 and will be held on Sunday’s January 11th, 18th, 25th and February 8th and 22nd from 3 – 4:15 pm at the LCCC PE Building. Cost is $90.
The Indoor Soccer League (5v5 with goalies) will be held on Sunday’s January 11th, 18th, 25th and February 8th and 22nd in the evening and is open to youth and adult.
An Indoor Soccer tournament will be held on President’s Day weekend (Feb. 14 and 15th) at LCCC.

Entry Level Referee Class
The Cheyenne Soccer Club will be offering a Grade 8 (Entry Level) Referee Class January 9 - 11, 2009 at the Cheyenne Family YMCA. The clinic will be held Friday from 6:00pm - 8:30pm, Saturday from 8:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Attendance is required each day to successfully complete the course. Registration fee is $40. Please make check payable to SRA WY and bring to the first session. Registration fee is refundable if you do not pass the test or decide not to take the test.

”D” and “E” License Coaching Classes to be Offered
D” and “E” Coaching License Courses will be offered in January and February. The “E“ license course will be held Jan. 23rd - 25th (Friday evening, and all day Sat. and Sunday). The “D” license course will occur Jan. 23-25th and Feb. 6-8th (must attend both weekends) at LCCC. Must have an “E“ license for a year to take the “D“ Course.
We strongly encourage all CSC Recreational coaches to attend this training, and the CSC competitive program (Sting) does require coaches to obtain their licensing. Anne Moore, Jim Gardner and Jesse Gallegos will be teaching the courses.

YOUTH RECREATIONAL SPRING SOCCER REGISTRATION
Registrations are being accepted for the 2009 Spring Youth Recreational Season. REGISTER ON –LINE by clicking on "CSA Registration" in the upper right-hand corner. Registrations will be accepted through February 28, 2009. After this date, registrations will only be accepted if there is room in your child's division and a $10 late fee will assessed.
FEES: U10 & above players: Spring only--$50 per child. U6 & U8 players: Spring Only --$47.50 per child. Limited scholarships are available for those in need of financial assistance. Children born on or after 8-1-89 through 7-31-04 (U-6 through U-19) are eligible to play; U-19 players must be in high school. A copy of a birth certificate must be turned in at the time of registration or mailed to CSA, PO Box 2774, Cheyenne, WY 82003 unless a copy is on file with CSA.
Spring Season: Practices may begin the week of March 30th. First game - April 18th. Last game - May 30th. No games over Memorial Day weekend.
IN-PERSON REGISTRATION - We will provide an opportunity for those who do not have internet access to register in-person on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Laramie County Library Sunflower Room on the 3rd Floor from 10:30am - 2:30pm.

2009 Adult Soccer League
2009 Adult League to be held mid July through end of September. This will be the only season for 2009. We will be playing a total of 14 games per team. The fees will be $60 per player and $300 team/sponsorship fee. We will offer a 8 v 8 recreational league and an 6 v 6 competitive league. Both are a coed league however the competitive league does not require both female and male players. Registration to open soon!!!!!
NEXT BOARD MEETING
CSC's next board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6th at 7:00pm at the Library - Sage Room on 2nd floor. All coaches and parents are welcome. Recreational and Competitive Committees meet at 6:00pm.
Fall 2008 Juggling Club
Congratulations to Ross Elliott (age 9) and Jessica Erickson (age 9) as the first qualifiers of the CSA Juggling Club. They needed to do 25 juggles to qualify at their age group, and Ross did 54 and Jessica did 27. Visit the juggle club web page for more information
